Timaya Firmly Rejects Dating Nigerian Girls, Netizens React

Nigerian singer Inetimi Timaya Odon, widely known as Timaya, has once again made it clear that he is not interested in dating Nigerian women, especially those on social media.

This preference is not new, as the singer has expressed his choice for foreign women on numerous occasions in the past. In a recent video shared by celebrity interior designer Ehi Ogbebor, Timaya reiterated this stance.

In the clip, which was originally posted on Ehi’s Instagram stories, she playfully suggested that Timaya might be in need of a companion after he humorously claimed to be “on the streets.” In response, Timaya quickly clarified that he was not, in fact, on the streets and emphasized that he was not looking for a girlfriend—particularly not from Nigeria.

To underscore his point, Timaya performed a popular Nigerian gesture, rotating both his arms over his head and snapping his fingers, a motion typically used to express strong rejection or disbelief, signaling that he was serious about his words.
