DJ Cuppy Joins Red Nose Day Campaign To Support Global Child Welfare
Renowned Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, DJ Cuppy, born Florence Otedola, has once again demonstrated her generosity by participating in this year’s Red Nose Day campaign.
Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising initiative by Comic Relief, held every March, using comedy to generate funds aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and improving children’s safety, education, health, and overall empowerment worldwide.
According to BBC, this year’s Red Nose Day is being observed on March 21, marking four decades of comedy and entertainment dedicated to charitable causes. Celebrities and various groups are coming together to raise money while spreading joy.
As part of the initiative, DJ Cuppy—who previously made headlines for expressing her search for a life partner on LinkedIn—enthusiastically joined the cause. She played a key role as a judge at the Comic Relief x Debate Mate finals, where young participants showcased their debating skills.
Expressing her excitement, Cuppy commended the impressive leadership and talent displayed by the students. She emphasized the significance of youth involvement in social causes and highlighted how inspiring it was to witness their passion for making a difference.
Sharing pictures of her nose painted in red colour, she wrote:
“TODAY is #RedNoseDay 🔴 To celebrate, I had the honour of judging the @comicrelief x @debatemate finals alongside some VERY familiar faces.
“Six insanely impressive students took the stage, showing the power of youth leadership. I’m SO humbled to SEE and HEAR the next generation stepping UP! “
